JEDDAH – Deputy Ruler of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishal inaugurated 17 development projects in Jeddah Industrial City and Makkah Second Industrial City worth more than SR2.5 billion at a ceremony in Jeddah on Wednesday.

The launch ceremony was held under the patronage of Crown Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Advisor to the Management of the Holy Mosques and Ruler of Mecca, and was attended by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkholayev, as well as several princes and dignitaries.

The project includes the development of an infrastructure network over an area of more than 11 million square meters, the construction of 160 new ready-made factories, the introduction of water pipelines and expansion of water points, the establishment of quality laboratories within the food cluster, power and shared services projects.

These initiatives were aimed at strengthening the sustainability of services and supporting the accelerated growth of the industrial and logistics sector.

These projects are part of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON)’s continued efforts to create an integrated industrial environment, enable domestic industry, and strengthen the role of the industrial sector as a key driver of the national economy.
