21% increase…Morocco’s tourism revenue rises unprecedentedly – Saudi News

Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism and Traditional Industries announced that Morocco’s tourism sector will reach unprecedented levels in 2025, with foreign exchange earnings reaching AED 138 billion as of the end of December last year, an increase of 21% compared to 2024.

The ministry explained that this exceptional level far exceeds the target of 120 billion dirhams set in the Moroccan Tourism Roadmap 2026.

The ministry said Morocco’s national tourism confirms the sector’s role in the economy, with expenditures estimated at around Dh48 billion in 2025.

The Moroccan Ministry of Tourism announced that Morocco has recorded record numbers of tourists, reaching 19.8 million tourists in 2025, an increase of 14% compared to 2024.

Tourism accounts for approximately 7% of Morocco’s gross domestic product and is a major source of employment and foreign exchange.

Morocco opened additional airlines to key tourism markets, promoted new destinations within the country, and encouraged the tourism sector to renovate existing hotels and open new ones.

Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts announced that Morocco’s tourism industry will reach unprecedented levels in 2025, with foreign exchange earnings reaching AED 138 billion by the end of December last year, an increase of 21% compared to 2024.

The ministry revealed that this exceptional level far exceeds the target of 120 billion dirhams set in the Moroccan Tourism Roadmap 2026.

The Ministry confirmed the role of Morocco’s national tourism industry in the sector’s economy, noting that the estimated expenditure in 2025 is approximately AED 48 billion.
