The Asir region recorded economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025, due to an increased pace of publication of commercial records and an expansion of energy-related activities and entertainment events, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Commerce included in the Business Sector Report published by the Ministry of Commerce.
The figures show that the Asir region issued 5,017 commercial records in the fourth quarter of 2025, out of a total of 123,000 commercial records issued across the Kingdom during the same period, reflecting continued economic activity and the region’s growing attractiveness for investment and business.

In the power generation, transmission and distribution sector, the existing record number in the Asir region will reach 173 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, and the annual growth rate in this sector will reach 27% at the Kingdom level, indicating the region’s growing participation in renewable energy activities and related infrastructure.
Asir is increasing its presence in electric vehicle charging station operation activities, keeping pace with the nationwide expansion of sustainable transportation solutions, with 148 existing records, and this activity achieved an annual growth of 26% across the Kingdom by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025.
In terms of events and entertainment, the number of existing records for the operation of entertainment event facilities in the Asir region reaches 343, with activity increasing by 20% annually. This strengthens the region’s position as a growing tourist and entertainment destination, especially during the summer season and national events.

At the cumulative distribution level of existing commercial records, within the framework of a total of 1.8 million existing commercial records in different regions of the Kingdom, the number of commercial records in the Asir region has reached 94,073, reflecting the diversity of the economic base of the region and the expansion of commercial activities.
This achievement comes as an extension of efforts aimed at stimulating local investment, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening the region’s contribution to inclusive economic development, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
