Saudi Arabia’s Dawah Office in Australia launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program, distributing meals and 800 copies of the Holy Quran during Ramadan.

Canberra, March 11, 2025 – The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, through the Dawah Office at the Saudi Embassy in Australia, has launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program in Australia, continuing Saudi Arabia’s long-standing tradition of providing humanitarian assistance during the holy month of Ramadan. The program, which aims to offer support to Muslims in Australia, is part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to foster goodwill and provide essential aid to communities around the world during this sacred time.

The launch ceremony of the program was attended by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Australia, Sultan bin Khuzaim, alongside several other officials from the Embassy and local dignitaries. Ambassador Khuzaim expressed his appreciation for the program, highlighting its significance not only as an act of charity but also as a symbol of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Muslims worldwide, particularly during Ramadan, a month of reflection, charity, and unity.

As part of the initiative, a series of iftar meals were distributed to Muslims in various cities across Australia, offering them an opportunity to break their fast with nutritious and wholesome food. In addition to the meal distribution, the program also included the provision of 800 copies of the Holy Quran, generously printed by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex. These copies, available in a range of languages, will support the religious needs of Muslims across Australia, enabling them to better connect with the teachings of Islam during Ramadan and beyond.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts, which reflect the Kingdom’s strong commitment to promoting peace, understanding, and unity among the Muslim community worldwide. Through initiatives like these, Saudi Arabia continues to contribute to the well-being of global Muslim populations and strengthen ties with countries like Australia, furthering the Kingdom’s role as a leading advocate for charitable causes and religious solidarity.

With this program, Saudi Arabia once again showcases its leadership in humanitarian outreach, reinforcing its dedication to providing essential support for communities in need while nurturing goodwill and fostering unity during the holy month of Ramadan.
