Makkah, March 17, 2025 – In a significant step to enhance the religious experience of female worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan, the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, through its Women’s Affairs Agency, has launched the “Answering and Guiding Female Inquirers” program at the Grand Mosque. This initiative is designed to address the growing number of questions from female visitors, particularly concerning the religious rituals during Ramadan, with special attention to the increased attendance expected during the last ten days of the month.
Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, highlighted the importance of the program, noting that the Women’s Affairs Agency has placed great emphasis on offering high-quality, enriching services. The primary objective of the initiative is to ensure that female visitors have access to reliable, knowledgeable, and direct guidance on various religious matters, thereby enhancing their overall experience while visiting one of Islam’s holiest sites. Dr. Al-Sudais emphasized that the program seeks to guide female worshippers with answers that are both insightful and aligned with authentic Islamic teachings, making sure they feel supported in their religious practices.
This new program underscores the Presidency of Religious Affairs’ ongoing commitment to advancing women’s enrichment services within the Grand Mosque. By promoting accurate Islamic knowledge and providing direct religious guidance, the program aims to foster an environment of religious awareness and spiritual growth for female worshippers. It also reflects the growing recognition of the unique needs of female visitors, ensuring that their questions are answered with respect and care in an atmosphere conducive to learning and reflection.
To facilitate the initiative, two dedicated locations have been set up within the Grand Mosque for answering religious inquiries. The designated areas, located in Women’s Prayer Area 74 on the ground floor and Women’s Prayer Area 84 on the first floor, provide a quiet and accessible space for female inquirers to receive guidance. These locations are strategically placed to ensure that visitors can easily approach and engage with knowledgeable religious guides, enhancing their understanding of the rituals and practices observed during Ramadan.
The launch of the “Answering and Guiding Female Inquirers” program is a testament to the Presidency’s proactive approach to meeting the needs of female worshippers, promoting greater religious awareness, and reinforcing the sacred values of Islam. By offering these valuable services, the program aims to deepen the spiritual experience of female visitors, helping them navigate their religious duties with clarity and confidence during the blessed month of Ramadan.
