Makkah, March 18, 2025 – The Alber charity organization, based in Al-Sharai, Makkah, has been actively distributing iftar meals to visitors of the Grand Mosque and its surrounding courtyards, as well as at key crossing points across the city. This initiative is part of Alber’s annual Ramadan campaign to provide essential support to families in need during the holy month.
The charity has set an ambitious goal to deliver a total of 390,000 iftar meals throughout Ramadan, ensuring that those who are fasting, including pilgrims and residents, are able to break their fast with nutritious, wholesome meals. Alber’s efforts extend beyond the Grand Mosque, reaching the city’s main entry points where large numbers of visitors and pilgrims arrive, further extending the reach of their charitable work.
A dedicated team of over 120 volunteers and staff members has been mobilized to manage the distribution process, working tirelessly to ensure that the meals are delivered efficiently and promptly. The team’s commitment to this cause reflects the values of solidarity, compassion, and generosity that are central to the spirit of Ramadan. Volunteers, alongside employees, have been involved in organizing the logistics, packaging the meals, and distributing them to deserving individuals, ensuring that no one goes without the means to break their fast.
Alber’s iftar distribution initiative is not just about providing meals; it’s also a reflection of the deeper message of giving, community support, and unity that defines the blessed month of Ramadan. By providing these iftar meals, Alber ensures that those who are less fortunate can also partake in the spiritual and communal aspects of Ramadan, reinforcing the importance of charity and empathy. Through this initiative, the organization continues to play a vital role in alleviating hunger and offering support to the community in Makkah during this sacred time.
