RIYADH — The King Fahd Causeway Authority on Monday announced the launch of a new package offering up to 40 percent discount on tolls, effective from February 18, 2026, for travelers using the Causeway app.

The introduction of the new package comes after the authorities on Sunday announced a fare increase from February 18, 2026. According to the new rates, the rate per ton will be 35 SR for cars and motorcycles, 55 SR for minibuses, 70 SR for large buses, and 7 SR for trucks.

This increase does not apply to students, people with disabilities, and people who travel frequently on a daily basis. According to available data, the bridge toll for light vehicles now stands at SR25 after authorities raised the bridge toll from SR20 in early 2016. This is the first time tolls on the bridge have increased since the bridge opened in 1986.

Officials explained that the new package includes three options. Frequent Traveler Packages offer up to 40% off tolls and are designed for travelers who cross the bridge daily or almost daily. The package costs SAR 850 and is valid for one month or after 40 crossings (one-way or round trip), whichever comes first.

Officials also said the Frequent Traveler Package offers up to 20 percent off tolls and is aimed at occasional travelers who cross the bridge at regular intervals. The package costs SR1,120 and is valid for one year or after 40 crossings (one-way or round trip), whichever comes first.

Round-trip packages offer up to 15% off tolls and are perfect for travelers who want to plan their trip in advance. The package costs 60 SR and is valid for one week from the first transit date or the first two transit dates (1 or 2), whichever comes first.
