American author Mary Beynon tells the harrowing story of a “dog” who falls off the edge of a cliff in a Canadian mining region in temperatures of -4 degrees Celsius. Once the search and rescue team arrived, they fed the dog for three days until they were able to pull it up the cliff…and that same winter. The man fell onto the edge of a frozen river and was pulled out by search and rescue teams, where he died of exhaustion two days later in hospital.
The two incidents raised deep questions about the nature of life. The most notable are:
Animals have emotions but lack reason, so do they perceive things differently than humans, who have both characteristics?
Thanks to the mind, a person can suffer even more due to imagination and fear, which magnifies the crisis and fosters delusion.
One of the problems people face today is: The belief that he is better than others makes him fall into the trap (illusion of idealism). Instead of accepting our flaws and weaknesses, we insist on denying them, forgetting that life is full of change.
Your current achievements are only the primitive stages of others in the past, which should eliminate feelings of idealization and stimulate a feeling of resemblance with others.
Returning to the cause of the man’s death and the dog’s survival. We have realized that fear and illusion are the enemies of humanity. Emotions that cause physical and mental fatigue and prevent you from living with peace of mind.
The only constant in life is change. We should not focus on negative emotions. People don’t have to be more ferocious to live their lives. Rather, you need to get rid of your fears about the future, expectations, etc. Here the illusion of idealism plays a role, but it is not helpful, but rather doubly deceiving. Both when it goes up and when it goes down.
