Lebanese artist Carol Samaha admitted to Okaz that she is proud to participate in “Cedars Night” as part of the activities of Riyadh Season, saying that being chosen as one of the stars of the evening is a matter of great pride for her and represents the presence of Lebanese art in one of the most prestigious artistic events in the region.

Samaha said: “I felt lucky and proud to have been chosen to participate in this wonderful evening. I felt that, together with my fellow artists, I represented the symbols of my country, Lebanon.” She added that dramatic acting will be postponed for the time being, stressing that she is focusing on music, but did not rule out the possibility of returning through musical theater in the future, saying that this is one of the most beautiful artistic experiences she has presented.

“Cedars Night”, among the series of artistic nights presented by Riyadh Season, embodies an exceptional evening that recalls the masterpieces of Lebanese song in an enchanting musical atmosphere, attracting the most prominent Arab singing stars in a large-scale concert that reflects cultural and artistic diversity, and witnessed a remarkable public presence.

The concert was opened by artist Assi El Hilani, who set the mood with a collection of his most famous vocal works and performed artistic paintings that combined authentic singing with Lebanese popular rhythms, which greatly engaged the audience and confirmed his status as one of the most prominent stars of Arabic song.

Carol Samaha then appeared amidst a great reception from the audience and performed a series of vocal works that combined emotion and skilled theatrical performance, confirming her outstanding artistic presence and ability to present performances that combine singing and showmanship. It was reflected in the interaction between the audience and her singing parts.
Artist Ragheb Allama ended the night with an extraordinary performance that brought the excitement back to the stage. He performed a number of his signature songs and the audience sang along, concluding a comprehensive artistic night that brought together Lebanese stars in a night of special artistic character.
