DIRIYAH — Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Britain’s Prince William, Prince of Wales, in Diriyah on Monday night during the British Royal Family’s official visit to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince and Prince William toured Diriyah, the birthplace of Saudi Arabia and the capital of the first Saudi state.

The visit also included a walk through the historic At-Turaif area, where Prince William was briefed on traditional Najdi architecture and toured the palaces of the Imams and rulers of the Saudi First Nation.

A photo was taken in front of Salwa Palace, one of Diriyah’s most prominent historical buildings and once the seat of government.
The tour also included a presentation on the Diriyah Gate Master Plan, highlighting the project’s vision to preserve the region’s cultural heritage while transforming it into a global cultural and tourism destination.
