The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced that Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Fassal has approved the decision to merge the Saudi Polo Federation and the Saudi Equestrian Federation, becoming the Saudi Equestrian and Polo Federation, chaired by Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah.
This decision was taken against the backdrop of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s commitment to strengthening financial sustainability and increasing efficiency of management performance in the sports sector, particularly equestrian sports and polo, and based on what has been completed in terms of approved regulatory requirements and procedures, and within the applicable institutional governance framework.
The merger aims to support the development and organization of Olympic and Paralympic sports in different regions of the Kingdom, ensuring the integration of efforts, achieving best operational practices and placing athletes and their technical and organizational needs at the core of the sports system’s priorities.
The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced that Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Alfasal has approved the decision to merge the Saudi Polo Federation and the Saudi Equestrian Federation and name it the Saudi Equestrian and Polo Federation, with Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah as chairman.
The decision was taken based on the completion of approved requirements and regulatory procedures within the institutional governance framework in place, as part of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s efforts to strengthen financial sustainability and improve administrative performance in the sports sector, particularly equestrian and polo.
The merger aims to support the development and organization of Olympic and Paralympic sports in different regions of the Kingdom, putting athletes and their technical and organizational needs at the center of the sports system’s priorities, ensuring integration of efforts and achieving best operational practices.
