Saudi Aramco and Microsoft have entered a new phase of collaboration that promises to reshape the future of energy globally. The signing of a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding is packed with ambitious plans to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence in industrial and energy processes.

The agreement aims to move artificial intelligence from just a support tool to the core of operational processes through the development of solutions based on Microsoft Azure and the design of smart systems that make production more efficient and innovative.

Collaborations include improving digital infrastructure, data storage, and even building industry alliances to expand the use of AI along the production chain, from concept to product reaching customers.

A key part of the agreement is based on developing national skills through training programs in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data governance, leveraging Microsoft’s experience in training thousands of Saudi learners.

This digital partnership takes place within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, in which artificial intelligence is no longer just a supporting tool but a cornerstone for shaping the world’s economic and energy future. It appears that Aramco and Microsoft are not content to talk about the future, but rather plan to create it.
