Al Nasr’s coach “Jesus” admitted that the team is preparing individually for each match and aims to continue competing in the league led by Al Hilal. “This competition will be between four teams, including Al Nasr. Therefore, we will focus on continuing this path,” he said at a press conference after the victory over Al Fateh in the Roshan League.
“This season, we are presenting positive levels and results. The difference between us and Al Hilal is currently one point, and in the past years the difference between the two teams was even greater, but we are progressing according to the competition and joining Al Nasr. When I was in the league, I believed in the competitiveness of this team. Now the competition is multi-club. Like I said, there’s a lot of competition between three or four teams and we’re trying to get our way by competing in the league. ”
Commenting on Ayman Yahya’s late participation, he said: “Ayman is an outstanding player and we are trying to benefit from his contribution at certain times. And when we add him to the team, he will give us the best of what he has. We don’t want to put pressure on the player while he is participating in the local and Asian Championships and we can get opportunities whenever we need them.” He added: “Our team didn’t concede a goal again. I always think that the team that defends its goal is the closest to winning. So I’m keen on this and we keep winning under the pressure of the game, which is good.”
Regarding the reason for excluding key players from the final Asian match, he said, “We decided to exclude Ronaldo and the main players. In order to give them a rest from the pressure of the match, we did not call up any foreign players other than Brazilians Bento Matthäus and Angelo Gabriel, and Iraqi Haider Abdul Karim.”
