Yesterday (Saturday), the 3rd Mecca Halal Forum 2026 was held at the Mecca Exhibition and Event Center under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid Al Qasabi, from February 14th to 16th, organized by the “Manafi” initiative under the slogan “Halal is a specialized industry”.

In his opening remarks, Youssef Qarawi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the forum is considered one of the most significant achievements of the global “Mafia” initiative and aims to strengthen the position of Mecca and Medina as a comprehensive center for Muslims in the fields of business, investment and trade. He explained that this year’s slogan reflects the trend of transforming the concept of halal from mere religious observance to an integrated industrial system based on standards, governance and building institutional trust.

On the first day, a high-level meeting was held including five sessions discussing the global positioning of halal brands, investment, Islamic finance and building economic assets for the sector, in addition to workshops and closed roundtable discussions covering the themes of export, import and commercial franchising.

The forum represents a platform that combines economic thought, regulatory standards and technological innovation, which will strengthen the Kingdom’s role in the global halal industry, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
