Youssef Qarawi, Secretary General of the Mecca Halal Forum, revealed that the estimated value of the halal market size in 2025 is expected to reach $7 trillion, and by 2030 it is expected to reach $10 trillion.

“The forum launched the ‘Echo of Halal’ event in collaboration with influencers from around the world to showcase halal products,” Qarawi said in an interview with Al Arabiya Business on the sidelines of the Halal Forum in Mecca.

He further added, “Saudi Arabia has set out an important vision to become the center of the world’s halal industry, which is one of the reasons for the demand for the Mecca Halal Forum, and the exhibits at the event sold perfectly to international parties attracted by the exhibition.”

specialized industry

The 3rd Makkah Halal Forum 2026 was launched from February 14th to 16th under the slogan “Halal is a specialized industry” under the auspices of Dr. Majid Al Qasabi, Minister of Commerce, under the auspices of the “Mafa Fair” initiative and at the Makkah Exhibition and Events Center.

The first day’s activities began with a speech by Youssef Hassan Harawi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, who emphasized that the Mecca Halal Forum is one of the most significant achievements of the global “Mafia” initiative, which aims to strengthen the position of Mecca Al-Mukarramah and Medina as a unifying center for Muslims around the world in the fields of business, investment and trade.

strategic direction

Mr. Halawi explained that this year’s forum’s slogan, “Halal is a specialized industry,” reflects the strategic direction of moving away from the traditional concept of halal as solely a religious observance to an integrated industrial system based on standards, governance, transparency, and building institutional trust. He pointed out that the future of the sector can only be built on professionalism in management, operations, finance and marketing.

Mr. Qarawi pointed out that the first or truer platform where leaders come together to shape the future of the halal industry is in Mecca, indicating that this is not a usurpation or usurpation of the role of other international platforms, but rather a recognition of the privacy of this place, its symbolism, and its place in the conscience of Muslims around the world.

Youssef Karawi, executive director of the Mecca Forum for Halal, revealed that the estimated value of the halal market size in 2025 is expected to reach $7 trillion, and by 2030 it is expected to reach $10 trillion.

“The forum has launched the ‘Echo of Halal’ initiative to work with influencers from around the world to promote halal products,” Karawi said in an interview with Al Arabiya Business on the sidelines of the Halal Forum in Mecca.

He added: “Saudi Arabia has set out an important vision to become a global center for the Halal industry, which is one of the reasons for our interest in the Mecca Forum for Halal. All the products exhibited at the event were sold to international organizations attracted by the exhibition.”

specialized industry

The 3rd Mecca Forum for Halal 2026 was held from February 14th to 16th under the auspices of the “Manafa” initiative under the slogan “Halal is a specialized industry” at the Mecca Chamber of Commerce and Industry Exhibition Center under the patronage of Dr. Majid Al Qasabi, Minister of Commerce.

The first day of the event began with a speech by Youssef Hassan Qarawi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, who emphasized that the Mecca Forum for Halal is one of the most significant achievements of the global “Manafah” initiative, which aims to establish Mecca and Madinah as a center for Muslims from all over the world in the fields of business, investment and trade.

strategic direction

Mr. Karawi explained that the slogan of this year’s forum, “Halal is a specialized industry,” reflects the strategic direction of moving from the traditional concept of halal, seen simply as religious observance, to a comprehensive industrial system based on standards, governance, transparency, and building institutional trust. He pointed out that the future of the sector can only be built on professionalism in management, operations, finance and marketing.

Mr. Halawi pointed out that there is no more suitable and authentic platform for leaders to come together and shape the future of the halal industry than Mecca, indicating that this does not undermine or compete with the role of other international platforms, but rather acknowledges the uniqueness of this place, its symbolism, and its place in the hearts of Muslims around the world.
