Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, Regional Governor of Jazan, today witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the emirate and the Jubail-Yanbu Royal Commission, represented by Jizan Municipality for Basic and Transformative Industries, which aims to raise awareness of road safety and reduce the incidence of serious accidents, based on a shared responsibility towards the local community.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by the region’s Emirati, Walid bin Sultan Al Sanawi, Under-Secretary General, and the Royal Commission in Jubail and Yanbu was represented by Dr. Hussein bin Yahya Fazeli, CEO of Jizan City for Basic and Transformative Industries.
The Jizan Regional Head emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among government agencies in supporting road safety programs, disseminating a safe driving culture and promoting preventive behavior in society, which contributed to protecting lives and property and improving the quality of life in the region.
Both sides confirmed their keenness to coordinate efforts and integrate awareness programs and activities in order to achieve the goal of reducing serious injuries and fatalities and strengthen the participation of government agencies in road safety efforts, as a reflection of the aspirations of their wise leaders.

The Jizan Regional Prince emphasized the importance of integrating the efforts of government agencies to support road safety programs, promote safe driving culture, strengthen preventive behavior in communities, and contribute to the protection of life and property, and the improvement of the quality of life in the region.
Both sides confirmed their commitment to coordinate efforts, integrate awareness programs and activities, and strengthen the participation of government agencies in road safety efforts to achieve the goal of reducing the number of serious injuries and deaths, in line with the aspirations of the Wise Leaders.
