Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the General Administration for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Tawfig al-Rabia conducted a field inspection tour on Monday to assess the preparations for operations and services during the holy fasting month of Ramadan at the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque and several other places of worship in the holy city of Mecca.
Accompanied by the authority’s CEO engineer. Ghazi Al Shahrani said the tour included on-site activities, crowd management plans and a review of the flow of Umrah performers and worshipers.
He noted interagency coordination and integration mechanisms as part of continued efforts by the Ministry, authorities and partner organizations serving pilgrims.
Mr. Al-Rabiya stressed that these efforts are being carried out in line with the directives of the Saudi leadership and reflect the country’s commitment to caring for the Two Holy Mosques and its visitors.
He added that the level of preparedness and services provided during Ramadan are part of continuous development efforts and support the goals of the Pilgrim Experience Program, part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to improve the quality of services and the overall experience of pilgrims.
