RIYADH — The Western Division league stage of the 2025-26 AFC Champions League Elite concluded on Tuesday night with three Roshun Saudi League teams finishing in the top four.
Al Hilal topped 12 teams in the standings with 22 out of 24 points, making them the only unbeaten team in both the Western and Eastern regions.
Al Ahly secured second place, while current Saudi champions Al Ittihad finished in fourth place, capping off a good run for Saudi Arabia.
All three teams will advance to next month’s two-game round of 16. As with last season, the tournament’s quarter-finals through to the final will be held in Jeddah.
Al Hilal
The four-time Asian champions dominated the West region, winning seven of eight matches. The only point they dropped was a goalless draw away against Shabab Al Ahly in matchday 7.
Simone Inzaghi’s side ended their league campaign with a 2-1 home win against Al Wahda at the Kingdom Arena. Darwin Nuñez scored twice to seal the victory. Round of 16 opponent: Al Sadd

The defending continental champions further strengthened their credentials by finishing second behind domestic rivals Al Hilal.
Al Ahly, currently in third place in the Saudi top flight, won five of their eight group stage matches and lost two.
Monday’s 4-3 home win against Shabab Al Ahli capped off a fruitful campaign in front of goal.
With 21 goals, Mathias Jaisul’s team ranks as the most powerful attacking team in the competition, second only to Al Ittihad. Round of 16 opponent: Al Duhail
Al Ittihad
Al Ittihad, who finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 22 goals, made a remarkable recovery after opening the season with consecutive losses.
The Jeddah club won five of their last six matches to secure fourth place.
They secured their spot with a 4-1 away win against Al Sadd.
Youssef En-Nesyri scored in his third consecutive game, while new signing Stefan Keller scored on his debut.
