IHG signs deal with Hotel Indigo Cairo, Egypt’s new administrative capital

Egypt – IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Egypt by signing a management agreement with Jadia Group to launch Hotel Indigo Cairo New Administrative Capital.

The 140-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in Egypt’s new administrative capital, east of Greater Cairo, and is scheduled to open in 2033.

The new capital is one of Egypt’s largest national projects, designed as a smart master-planned city with modern infrastructure, government and diplomatic districts, high-end residential areas, and extensive commercial development.

Demand for hospitality is expected to increase due to Cairo’s excellent transport links and increasing cultural and retail attractions.

Hotel Indigo, one of IHG’s leading lifestyle brands, is known for its locally inspired boutique hotels.

The new hotel will reflect the region’s evolving urban character through locally-inspired design, dining and guest experiences, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
