President Trump: 50 million barrels of Venezuelan crude oil on route to Houston – Saudi Arabia News

US President Donald Trump has confirmed that 50 million barrels of Venezuelan crude oil is on its way to Houston, Texas.

According to Western media, he added: “You’ve heard about Venezuela. We’re helping them a lot with their oil fields. We’re extracting 50 million barrels of oil and they’re sailing to Houston right now in a very huge ship.”

Notably, the U.S. Energy Information Administration predicted that expanded U.S. permits for Venezuela-related transactions would restore the South American oil production to levels before the naval blockade imposed on the country by the U.S. government in December of last year by mid-2026.

Venezuela’s state oil company PDVSA was forced to drastically cut production after Washington imposed a strict naval blockade to put pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who was captured by the US military in early January.

The blockade has prevented Venezuela from exporting oil, causing millions of barrels of crude to accumulate in tanks and ships off the coast. Before the blockade, Venezuela was producing 1.1 million to 1.2 million barrels of oil per day.
