A new update of the “Absher” platform shows the possibility of issuing and renewing national passports without requiring the payment of traffic violations as the main requirement when requesting services.
The Absher platform allows users to request services for passport issuance or renewal without the need to pay traffic fines. This facilitates procedures and reduces obstacles to completing formal transactions, ensuring that services are completed quickly and efficiently and contributing to an improved beneficiary experience.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform “Abshar” executed 41,104,448 electronic transactions for beneficiaries, individuals and companies through Abshar during December last year.
The number of transactions carried out through the Absher Individual platform reached 38,495,732, including 31,884,329 document reviews through digital wallets available to citizens, residents and visitors through the Absher application, while the number of transactions on the Absher Business platform reached 2,608,716.
The number of operations carried out for the operations of the General Directorate of Public Security reached 3,638,165, including 3,546,449 operations at the General Directorate of Transport, the number of operations at the General Directorate of Passports reached 2,311,995, and 538,997 operations at the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Interior.
Through the general services of the Absher Individuals platform, 135,489 reports were issued on the Absher Reports service, 1,770 general inquiries regarding fingerprinting, and 225 requests for documents to be mailed.
