The production company of the series “Delta Pride,” which is currently aired on numerous satellite channels, has released an official statement announcing that the name of the creator of the series will be temporarily removed from the series after several women have accused him of harassment.
The crisis began after one of the girls posted on Facebook. In it, she worked at a company in the Gardensty area and revealed that the author of the series tried to forcefully kiss her and assault her. This was quickly followed by testimonies from other women confirming that they had been harassed by the same person.
On the occasion of the presentation of the third episode of the series, the company confirmed in a statement:
“The Series family would like to clarify that we have become aware of posts circulating on social media platforms regarding members of our writing team and would like to confirm that we take these allegations seriously. It has therefore been decided to temporarily remove the author’s name from the title of the work until the veracity of what is circulating is confirmed and appropriate action is taken based on the results of the investigation.”
The company concluded its statement by emphasizing respect for everyone’s rights. “All of our employees are working diligently to ensure everyone’s rights within a framework of justice and transparency.”
It is worth noting that the series “Pride of the Delta” consists of 30 episodes, participates in the current Ramadan marathon and is aired on several satellite channels and electronic platforms. The film marks young artist Ahmed Ramsey’s first full leading role, co-starring Kamal Abu Raya, Ahmed Siam, Intisar and Khaled Zaki, and was directed by Hadi Basshouni.
