Algerian Hossam Aouar, star of the Al Ittihad team, said he felt a very strange feeling when he played against Frenchman Karim Benzema. “We were just playing together just a few weeks ago.”

Despite the draw in El Clasico, Aouar expressed extreme pride for all his team-mates, describing playing with a numerical disadvantage as “always difficult” and stressing that the situation becomes more complicated in such situations.

Al Hilal were at a numerical disadvantage after defender Hassan Kadesh was shown a red card in the ninth minute, but Brazilian Malcolm scored after the break and Awal equalized with a header.

The Algerian player emphasized that the red card meant that he could no longer play with the same ambition as usual, so the flow of the match had changed significantly.

He explained that if they had played the entire match with their full ranks, they would have been able to hold onto the ball more and show a stronger attacking intent.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal’s goalkeeper, Moroccan Yassin Bounou, expressed his dissatisfaction with the result of El Clasico, saying: “It was not the result we were waiting for.”

Although he praised the high efforts of his fellow players, he said he had a bad feeling after the match.

The Moroccan goalkeeper stressed the importance of focusing and aiming for victory in all of his team’s upcoming matches, blaming a lack of concentration for the loss of control of the match. “We have a showdown on Tuesday and, God willing, we are thinking of winning it,” he said.

Al Hilal will play hosts Al Tawun next Tuesday in the postponed 10th round of the Saudi Roshan League.

Al Ittihad’s Algerian star Houssem Aouar said he felt a very strange feeling when playing against Frenchman Karim Benzema. “We have only been playing together for a few weeks,” he said.

Despite the draw in the ‘Clásico’, Aouar expressed great pride in all his team-mates, describing playing with a numerical disadvantage as “always difficult”, and admitted that things become more complicated in such situations.

Al Hilal were at a numerical disadvantage after defender Hassan Kac received a red card in the 9th minute, but Brazilian Malcom ended the first half with a goal, and Awal equalized with a header in the second half.

The Algerian player emphasized that the red card meant that he could no longer play with his usual ambition and the flow of the match had changed significantly.

He made it clear that if they had played the whole game with a full team, they would have had more control of the ball and showed more attacking intent.

On the other hand, Al Hilal’s goalkeeper from Morocco, Yassin Bounou, expressed his dissatisfaction with the result of the Clasico, saying, “It wasn’t the result we expected.”

Although he praised the high efforts of his fellow players, he said he felt sick after the match.

The Moroccan goalkeeper blamed a loss of concentration for their inability to control the flow of the match, and stressed the importance of his team working hard to win in all upcoming matches with high concentration. He said, “We have a game on Tuesday and we’re thinking about winning it, God willing.”

Al Hilal will face hosts Al Tawun next Tuesday in the postponed 10th round of the Roshen Saudi League.
