Bahrain – Beyon Connect, a subsidiary of Beyon Group, has signed an agreement with investment firm Mubasher Capital to implement a nationwide digital identity platform.
Mubasher Capital integrates the EKEY for Business (EKEY-B) platform to automate client onboarding and enhance Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance using biometrics.
The platform acts as a private sector extension of Bahrain’s national eKey 2.0 infrastructure, allowing businesses to verify their identity through a secure consent-based model.
“This partnership reflects the financial sector’s growing confidence in national digital identities as the foundation for secure, compliant and frictionless customer engagement,” said Christopher Hild, CEO of Beyond Connect.
The move comes as Bahrain moves to digitize its financial ecosystem, with more private institutions adopting the national identification infrastructure to reduce fraud and streamline digital services.
