The committee meeting, chaired at Emirate Headquarters under the leadership of the Administrative Advisors of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khalid bin Faisal, Ruler of the Mecca Al Mukarramah Region and Chairman of the Hajj Umrah Standing Committee, and Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Ruler of the Mecca Al Mukarramah Region, discussed the actions of government agencies implemented during the last period of the month of Ramadan, in addition to plans for the remainder of the month.

Prince Saud bin Mishal conveyed the greetings and gratitude of the Regional Governor of Makkah Al Mukarramah to all the organizations working to serve the visitors of the Grand Mosque and provide all services in a way that makes it easier for them to seek the face of Almighty God and to perform prayers with greater peace of mind, realizing the aspirations of the wise leadership, which aims to utilize all the abilities of the visitors of the mosque. Merciful.

The Holy Capital City provided an explanation of the field survey conducted during the month of Ramadan. It aims to improve public cleanliness and increase the efficiency of municipal services provided to residents and pilgrims, and aims to carry out an expanded cleaning and disinfection campaign in various parts of Makkah, especially in the central areas where daily human movements are concentrated, with the aim of improving the urban landscape and improving the quality of the environment.

The committee reviewed the operational plan of the national water company, as the daily water distribution volume of Makkah city during the month of Ramadan is estimated to be more than 730,000 cubic meters per day, and the processing capacity of the environmental treatment plant is estimated to be 650,000 cubic meters per day.

The latest developments related to readiness indicators aimed at enhancing early preparation for this year’s Hajj were also discussed.

Prince Saud bin Mishal conveyed the greetings and gratitude of the Emir of the Makkah region to all active organizations that served the visitors of the Holy Mosque, provided them with all necessary services so that they could pray in peace and quiet, and worked to realize the aspirations of the wise leadership, which aimed to seek the face of Almighty God and utilize all resources for the benefit of the visitors of the Merciful.

The Holy City Secretariat has announced an overview of fieldwork during Ramadan aimed at increasing public cleanliness and improving the efficiency of municipal services provided to residents and visitors, including Umrah performers. It also carried out a large-scale cleaning and disinfection campaign across Makkah, especially in central areas with high daily traffic, with the aim of improving the cityscape and improving the quality of the environment.
