Muscat – Lufkin Industries, a global leader in artificial pumping solutions for the oil and gas industry, announced that it has been awarded a multi-year performance contract by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to deliver a rod-driven progressive cavity pumping (RDPCP) system across the Marmur-Rahab-Turailat-Kahrir (Marmul and RTQ) oil fields.
This award strengthens Lufkin’s position as one of PDO’s most reliable long-term partners in production optimization and field execution, the company said in a press statement.
This agreement extends Lufkin’s successful partnership with PDO, which began in the early 2000s and has consistently delivered asset reliability, engineering innovation and strong localization results in Oman’s oil fields. Under the new Marmul-RTQ award, Lufkin will continue to provide high-performance RDPCP equipment, implementation services, and production optimization support.
“This award reaffirms the strength of our partnership with PDO and our shared commitment to long-term success in the field,” said Brent Bauman, CEO of Lufkin. “From day one, we have focused on providing not only reliable artificial lift systems, but also a broader ecosystem of securely delivered services, innovation and localization that support Oman’s production goals. We are proud to continue building on this foundation with Marmul-RTQ.”
The scope of the award includes new well installation, workover and optimization services for Marmul and RTQ, a mission-critical portfolio for PDO’s future production goals, as well as RDPCP support through the life of the well.
“Our teams earn trust in the field through consistency, technical excellence and collaboration,” said Craig Guillory, Lufkin’s vice president of international sales and operations. “This victory not only validates our past performance, but it is a challenge we are proud to take on. We are committed to delivering the same high standards at Marmul and RTQ that PDO expects from Lufkin.”
