Saudi Aramco today announced a major step forward in its ambitious plans to expand gas production by commencing production at the Jafora field, the largest unconventional gas field in the Middle East, and commencing operations at the Tanakib Gas Plant, one of the world’s largest gas plants.
Saudi Aramco aims to increase its sales gas production capacity by approximately 80% by 2030 compared to 2021 production levels, reaching approximately 6 million barrels of oil equivalent per day of total gas and related liquids production.

This is expected to generate additional cash flow from operations of $12 billion to $15 billion in 2030, depending on future demand for gas and liquid sales prices, according to a company statement.
