Arab League condemns Iranian attack on Sultanate of Oman’s Duqm port – Saudi News

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of the Sultanate of Oman’s Duqm port and its offshore oil tankers by Iranian missiles, and expressed his condemnation of the targeting of facilities in a country that has made and continues to make significant, serious and well-known efforts in mediation.

In this regard, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the Sultanate’s role and active diplomacy in this vitally important file and for its efforts towards a peaceful resolution between Iran and the United States.

Mr. Abul Gheit reiterated his condemnation of the attacks by Iran and those targeting civilian facilities in Arab countries in the Gulf region, stressing that these are unacceptable attacks on sovereignty and violations of international and international humanitarian law by targeting civilian objects and endangering the lives of civilians.

Secretary-General Spokesman Jamal Rushdie said Abul Gheit warned of the consequences of Iran’s failures and disruptions in military decision-making and the impact that disruption would have on the security of individuals and facilities, as well as on the security of regional navigation and energy supplies, considering that the launch of large numbers of missiles and drones targeting civilian facilities in many Arab countries is a policy that is completely rejected and condemned and cannot be justified under any pretext.

Abul Gheit renewed its full solidarity with all concerned Arab states in all measures taken to maintain sovereignty, security and stability.

Secretary-General Spokesperson Jamal Rushdie said that Abul Gheit warned of the consequences of recklessness and chaos in Iran’s military decisions and the impact of such chaos on the safety of individuals and facilities, as well as on the safety of navigation and energy supplies in the region, considering that the launch of a huge number of missiles and drones targeting civilian installations in Arab countries is a rejected and condemned policy that cannot be justified on any legal basis. excuse.

Abul Gheit reiterated its full solidarity with all concerned Arab states, which are taking all measures to maintain their sovereignty, security and stability.
