48 hours after taking office…Iran’s new defense minister assassinated – Saudi News

Iranian intelligence sources today (Tuesday) announced the killing of Iran’s new defense minister Majeed ibn al-Ridda, some 48 hours after taking office after his predecessor Aziz Nasir Zadeh was killed in an Israeli raid on the capital Tehran, according to a news outlet close to the Revolutionary Guards, while Israeli forces said they had targeted a prominent Iranian commander during heavy shelling in Tehran. Tehran.

The Israeli military had previously reported targeting the most fortified areas of the capital, Tehran. The Israeli military reiterated that it is prepared to continue operations against Iran for several weeks. He acknowledged that he had dealt a strong blow to the Iranian regime.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards today threatened to launch even harsher attacks against the United States and Israel.

“The enemy must wait for continued punitive strikes. The gates of hell will open more and more against the United States and Israel every moment,” his spokesman Ali Muhammad Naini said in a statement broadcast on state television.

Earlier, the Revolutionary Guards claimed that they had targeted the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln with four cruise missiles. He said the aircraft carrier had “escaped” towards the southeastern Indian Ocean, IRNA news agency reported.

In this regard, the Iranian Red Crescent announced that 787 people were killed as a result of airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran since last Saturday. In a post on the “X” platform, he explained that 153 Iranian cities were affected by American and Israeli attacks.
