The National Meteorological Center predicted that moderate to severe thunderstorms with the potential for torrential rains, accompanied by active winds lifting hail and dust, will develop in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah al-Muqaramah, Medina, Hail, al-Qasim and Riyadh, extending to eastern regions and the northern border, and mild to moderate thunderstorms in Najran.
According to the report, surface winds in the Red Sea are northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 20-40 km/h in the northern and central regions, southwesterly-to-southeast winds at 10-25 km/h in the south, reaching 50 km/h in the north, and cumulonimbus clouds with rain occur in the south. Wave heights are 1 to 2 meters in the northern and central regions, 0.5 to 1 meter in the south, and 2.5 meters in the north, and cumulonimbus clouds with rain continue to form in the south.
Sea conditions are light to moderate, with waves in the north and cumulonimbus clouds of rain continuing to form in the south.
In the Arabian Gulf, north-westerly to northerly winds blow at 20-40 km/h, reaching 45 km/h with rain and thunderclouds in the northern and central regions, and wave heights range from 1-2 meters, reaching 2.5 meters in the northern and central regions. Sea conditions are light to moderate, with cumulonimbus clouds of rain continuing to form in the northern and central regions and choppy.
