Today (Saturday), Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani ordered those who launched projectiles around the US Embassy in Iraq to be tracked down and brought to justice.

“Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani has ordered all military and security leaders and areas of responsibility to launch projectiles near the American embassy in Iraq in order to pursue and bring to justice the perpetrators of the terrorist act,” Iraqi news agency INA quoted al-Sudani’s spokesperson, Sabah al-Numan, as saying, adding: “Overseas diplomatic missions and embassies will be targeted.” Operations in Iraq are actions that cannot be justified or tolerated under any circumstances and are actions that affect national security. ” and the stability of the country as a whole. ”

He pointed out that the perpetrators of these attacks insult Iraq and its sovereignty and security, and that these unruly groups, which do not abide by the law, in no way represent the will of the Iraqi people and show that the options for war and military action remain solely in the hands of the state, which represents a national decision that the government has repeatedly confirmed.

At the same time, witnesses and security officials reported that drones targeted a US military base near Erbil airport.

Meanwhile, media reported, citing Iranian Oil Ministry officials, that the airstrikes targeted fuel depots in three areas, including a garage west of Tehran.
