Doha – Hamad International Airport announced on Saturday that it would continue to temporarily close Qatari airspace due to the current security situation in the region.
In a statement published in
The airport urged travelers not to head to the airport at this time and to contact their airlines directly for the latest information regarding their flights.
It stressed that currently operating flights are limited to evacuation operations through temporary air routes approved by civil aviation authorities.
Scheduled flight operations will only resume after QCAA officially announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace.
On February 28, QCAA announced the temporary suspension of air operations across Qatar. Earlier on Saturday, authorities announced that Qatar Airways would partially resume operations through designated emergency routes from Sunday.
Since that day, Qatar and seven other Arab countries have been exposed to Iranian missile and drone attacks, following a joint US-Israel attack on Iran.
