The Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC) witnessed the grand inauguration of the first edition of the Saudi Signage Expo. Naif Abdullah Al Rajhi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber, cut the ribbon, marking the beginning of the largest event in the Middle East for the digital, print, graphics, and imaging industries. The expo, running until March 7, 2024, welcomed over 5,000 buyers eager to explore the latest in signage technology.

Under six key sectors, including large format printing, signage, graphics, imaging, digital marketing, and gifts & promotional materials, the event featured a diverse range of products and services. Over 100 exhibitors, both local and international, presented advanced solutions for businesses seeking to enhance brand visibility, communication effectiveness, and overall customer engagement.

The signage industry is evolving with a growing emphasis on sustainability. Founding partner HP Inc. showcased its commitment by prioritizing reusable materials and lightweight banners, aligning with eco-conscious practices. Alpha Art Gifts, another exhibitor, highlighted sustainable manufacturing using recycled PET bottles for products like laptop pouches and wallets.

Visitors explored new products and systems from top suppliers, fostering interactive opportunities between exhibitors and potential buyers. Companies like ADS Advertising Materials, Dar Al Oroodh Trading Company, Desert Sign Trading, and Signs Solutions showcased state-of-the-art digital displays, advanced printing techniques, and exclusive product lines.

The expo featured the exclusive Hala (هلا) Chats, bringing together experts and specialists from the signage, wayfinding, design, and advertising sectors. Day 1 sessions delved into shaping the wayfinding experience, enhancing local content in signage, and strategies for transforming the industry. Insights from industry leaders set the tone for engaging discussions on the Kingdom’s readiness for Riyadh Expo 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Days 2 and 3 of Hala (هلا) Chats will explore leveraging AI and new technology in signage and advertising, gaining technical guidance on material selection, choosing the right printing technology, and designing traffic signs.

The Saudi Signage Expo 2024 promises an immersive experience, combining innovation, sustainability, and expert insights. The event remains free to attend, with registrations open at www.saudisignageexpo.com (visitors under 18 not permitted). Don’t miss the chance to witness the future of signage unfold in the heart of Saudi Arabia.
