Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) signs agreement to finance social housing projects worth Dh32 million in the Republic of Seychelles, strengthening the UAE’s role as a global development leader in promoting sustainable development
This strategic initiative aims to provide housing units that improve the quality of life for residents and support sustainable urban growth.
The agreement was signed as part of the Fund’s participation during the World Government Summit in the presence of Patrick Herminy, President of the Republic of Seychelles. It was signed by Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, and Pierre Laporte, Minister of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment of the Republic of Seychelles.
Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi said: “The signing of this agreement with the Republic of Seychelles confirms ADFD’s continued commitment to advancing national development priorities in partner countries. “It demonstrates a commitment to promoting social stability through the provision of housing units that meet the needs of residents within their boundaries. The initiative also enhances community well-being, strengthens urban planning efficiency and supports a balanced population distribution that is fully aligned with broader inclusive development.” the goal. ”

The project includes the construction of 80 housing units for low-income households, including 32 two-bedroom units and 48 three-bedroom units, all equipped with essential infrastructure and services.
The implementation will be carried out in two phases, each phase consisting of 40 units in the Orchid Villa area, ensuring efficient planning and urban integration.
