Al Alimi forms new Yemeni government with 35 ministers, including two women – Saudi News

Today (Friday), Dr. Rashad Al Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, issued a presidential decree establishing a new government consisting of 35 ministers, including two women, and appointing its members headed by Dr. Shay Mohsen Al Zindani, in a step aimed at confronting the political and economic challenges the country is experiencing.
The following is the text of Republican Resolution No. (3) of 2026 regarding the formation of a government.

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council:
After considering the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen.
And the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism were signed on November 23, 2011 AD.
Resolution Announcing the Transfer of Powers No. 9 of 2022 AD and the Establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council, issued on April 7, 2022 AD.
and Law No. (3) of 2004 on the Council of Ministers.
And Presidential Leadership Council Presidential Decision No. 17 of 2026 appointed Dr. Shey Mohsen Al-Zindani as Prime Minister and appointed him to form a government.
Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister and the approval of the Presidential Guidance Council, and as required by the higher interests of the country.
He decided:
Article (1): The Government is established as follows:-
1- Dr. Shay Mohsen Al Jindani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Foreign Affairs.
2- Muammar Mutahar Muhammad Al-Iryani, Minister of Information.
3- Nayef Saleh Abdul Kader Al Bakri, Minister of Youth and Sports.
4- Salem Abdullah Issa Al Sokotari, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries.
5- Major General Ibrahim Ali Ahmed Haidan, Minister of Interior.
6- Tawfiq Abdul Wahed Ali Al Sharjabi, Minister of Water and Environment.
7-Mohamed Mohamed Hizam Al Ashwar, Minister of Industry and Trade.
8- Dr. Qasim Muhammad Qasim Bahibah, Minister of Public Health and Population.
9- Judge Badr Abd Ahmed Al-Arda, Minister of Justice.
10- Major General Taher Ali Aida Al Aqili, Minister of Defense.
11- Engineer Badr Muhammad Mubarak Basalama, Minister of Local Government.
12- Mr. Ahmed Qasim Dhammazi, Minister of Culture and Tourism.
13- Dr. Anwar Muhammad Ali Karshat Al Mahri, Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training.
14- Engineer Adnan Muhammad Omar Al Kaf, Minister of Power and Energy.
15- Marwan Faraj Saeed bin Ghanem, Minister of Finance.
16- Dr. Afra Abdulaziz Al Zuba, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.
17- Salem Abu Bakr Muhammad Thabet Al Awlaki, Minister of Civil Service and Insurance.
18- Judge Ishraq Fadl Al Maktari, Minister of Justice.
19- Dr. Adel Abdul Majeed Alawi Al Abadi, Minister of Education.
20- Dr. Amin Noman Muhammad Al Qudsi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
21- Dr. Shadi Saleh Basra, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
22- Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Ali Bamakka, Minister of Petroleum and Minerals.
23- Mohsen Ali Haidara Qassim Al Omari, Minister of Transport.
24-Engineer Hussein Awad Saeed Al Aqrabi, Minister of Public Works and Roads.
25- Mukhtar Omar Saleh Al Yafei, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.
26-Mishdar Muhammad Omar Ahmad Minister of Human Rights.
27- Sheikh Turki Abdullah Ali Al Wadaei, Minister of Endowment Guidance.
28- Dr. Abdullah Ali Hussein Abu Houria, Minister of Parliamentary and Shura Council Affairs.
29- Judge Akram Nassib Ahmed Al Ameri, Minister of State.
30- Abdul Ghani Hafiz Allah Jamil, Minister of State and Governor of the Capital Sanaa.
31- Abdul Rahman Sheikh Al Yafei, Minister of State and Governor of Aden Governorate.
32- Ahmed Saleh Ahmed Al Awlaki, Minister of State.
33- Dr. Ahed Mohammad Salem Jasso, Minister of State for Women’s Affairs.
34-Walid Muhammad Muhammad Al-Kadhimi, Minister of State.
35-Walid Ali Ismail Al Abara, Minister of State.
Article (2): This decision shall come into force from the date of publication and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
