Border Guard volunteers volunteer on World Wetlands Day – Saudi News

The General Directorate of Border Security, in cooperation with the branch of the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combat Desertification in the Asir region, participated in the World Wetlands Day activity, which falls on February 2 every year, and carried out an initiative to plant mangrove saplings in Al-Barak governorate, the Asir region.

This participation comes as part of the Border Force’s volunteer efforts to promote environmental sustainability, protect natural resources and raise awareness of the importance of coastal ecosystems and their vital role in maintaining environmental balance and supporting biodiversity.

The General Directorate of Border Security, in cooperation with the branch of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combat Desertification in the Asir region, participated in the World Wetlands Day event, which is celebrated on February 2 every year, and carried out an initiative to plant mangrove saplings in Al-Birk governorate in the Asir region.

This participation is part of the Border Force’s voluntary efforts to improve environmental sustainability, protect natural resources, and raise awareness of the importance of coastal ecosystems and their vital role in maintaining ecological balance and supporting biodiversity.
