Careem Pay expands remittances to Saudi Arabia and Turkiye

Careem Pay, the digital payments platform within the Careem app, has expanded its money transfer services to Turkiye and Saudi Arabia, allowing UAE residents to send money directly to bank accounts in both countries at competitive rates.

The move strengthens Careem Pay’s growing footprint in the region’s remittance market, where it now facilitates remittances to more than 35 countries, including key corridors such as India, Pakistan, Europe, the UK and Egypt.

Remittances to Saudi Arabia and Turkiye are deposited directly into the recipient’s bank account within 5-10 minutes, providing customers with a fast and secure way to send money. The service supports high-value transactions, with a cap of AED150,000 for transfers to Turkiye and AED36,000 per transfer to Saudi Arabia, catering to both everyday needs and large financial commitments.

Careem Plus members enjoy zero fees and member-only rates when sending money abroad, turning money transfers from a daily chore to an outstanding benefit that delivers maximum savings every time you send money.

Mohammad El Saadi, Vice President of Careem Pay, said: “These two corridors are a natural next step for us, each reflecting different customer needs. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, people want to know that their money is moving safely, and we believe that trust is just as important as speed. For Turkiye, the slowness of transfers and uncertainty about when they would actually arrive was an issue. We’re solving that by having funds arrive within minutes, when you want to stay connected to your family.” feels more important than ever, but we want to make sure people don’t have to worry about it. ”
