The Ministry of Commerce has announced that the business season for the holy month of Ramadan will begin on the 13th of Sha’aban 1447 AH, which corresponds to February 1, 2026.
The “Ramadan Sale” season extends beyond Eid al-Fitr and covers all Ramadan goods, products and Eid supplies, and the ministry has allowed commercial establishments and electronic stores to apply for discount licenses electronically.
The “Ramadan Sale” will begin for consumers on 1447AH Shawar 13, corresponding to February 1, 2026, and will continue until 1447AH Shawar 7, corresponding to March 26, 2026. The season, which lasts for (54) days, aims to incentivize consumers to shop early and avoid last-minute shopping crowds.
Electronic submission of discounts is intended to allow establishments and e-stores to easily license, print and present to consumers without losing days of their annual balance of discounts.
Consumers can check the regularity and validity of the discount by scanning the “barcode” on the discount license with a mobile camera, which displays all data related to the discount (type and percentage of discount, duration, etc., in addition to basic data of the establishment).
The Ministry confirmed that it will continue inspection tours of commercial establishments to confirm the regularity of discounts and monitor discounts in all regions of the Kingdom.

Electronic application for discounts is intended to allow establishments and online stores to easily obtain licenses, print them, and present them to consumers without wasting days of their annual discount allowance.
Consumers can check the legality and validity of their discounts by scanning the barcode displayed on their discount licenses with their mobile cameras. The discount license displays all relevant information about the discount, including “discount type and percentage, duration, and basic facility data.”
The Ministry confirmed that it will continue inspection tours to commercial establishments to verify the legality of discounts and monitor discounts in all regions of the Kingdom.
