Yesterday afternoon, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University and Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development held a press conference to announce the launch of a package of qualitative initiatives presented by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University and Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, as part of their ongoing mission to support human development and enable initiatives that have a sustainable impact at home and abroad.

The conference is being held as an affirmation of the university and foundation’s approach in continuing the legacy of the late Crown Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz to advance humanitarian and development work, serve humanity and build initiatives that impact sustainable societies.

At the meeting held yesterday afternoon at the foundation headquarters, Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al Ansari, Rector of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University and Secretary General of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, said that Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Reviewing the characteristics of Prince Fahd’s humanitarian and educational legacy, may God have mercy on him, he stressed that on the anniversary of his death, the University and Foundation recall the pioneering national model of investing in the world. Make humanitarian work and sustainable development an institutional approach with long-term impact.

He pointed out that the Crown Prince’s path has led to the establishment of an integrated system in education and human development, the most notable achievements of which were the graduation of thousands of male and female students from Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, in addition to achieving international academic accreditation, building regional and global educational and research partnerships, and providing high-quality programs that contribute to the preparation of national qualifications.

The Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development also implemented dozens of humanitarian and development programs benefiting thousands of families and individuals in the areas of social empowerment, housing improvement, and assistance to the most needy groups in the Kingdom and beyond.

Dr. Al Ansari explained that tens of thousands of people have benefited from the University and the Foundation’s programs in the fields of education, human development and community empowerment, which embody His Highness’ message of “God have mercy” of infinite service to humanity.

The Foundation’s efforts include doubling down on the results of existing initiatives and expanding their impact. These include youth development programs, housing improvement programs for the needy, the Shifa Fund, charitable housing, direct financial assistance, mosque restoration, Basmat Hayat, Loya Centers, and the Prison Outcomes Incubator.

New initiatives (and continued giving) include the Family Transformation Program, the Global Capacity Program for Lifelong Learning, and the Ramadan Giving Program.

Continuous efforts and legacy that do not stop even after departure

Continuing a legacy that will not end with his retirement, Dr. Al-Ansari said: “Currently, efforts to embody the extension of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd’s legacy continue through the launch of educational and humanitarian initiatives at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University, including academic programs, scientific courses, forums, and youth and development initiatives.

Dr. Al Ansari also said that the Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development continues to implement its annual Ramadan program “Uninterrupted”, which takes place during the month of Ramadan every year. The program is presented each year during the month of Ramadan as a sustainable program that embodies the concept of continuous philanthropy and expansion of rewards, and includes a package of seasonal sustainable humanitarian efforts, the most notable of which are breakfasts for fasters, food baskets, assistance to needy families, housing improvements, water supplies, and Eid clothing and Quran donations within and outside the Kingdom.

Dr. Al-Ansari pointed to the university’s initiatives, including the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd International Prize ($2 million) in the fields of scientific research and production, innovation and invention, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, humanitarian work, peace and cultural coexistence.

The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Appreciation Medal is a symbolic, non-competitive honor bestowed annually on the anniversary of his death (January 28) to those whose humanitarian and social contributions have had a tangible impact and are consistent with the values ​​he believed in. May God have mercy on him.
