Deputy Ruler of Makkah awards Saleh Kamel Humanitarian Foundation with Makkah Excellence Award – Saudi News

Prince Khaled Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Ruler of the Mecca Region, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Ruler of the Mecca Region, today (Thursday) presented the Mecca Award of Excellence to the Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation at its 17th session. (2025-2026) within the Social Excellence Track, during the annual ceremony held to announce the winners of the various tracks of the award, in the presence of a number of His Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince. Your Excellencies, Officers and Officers of the Participating Organizations.

The award was received by the Chairman of the Foundation Board Abdullah Saleh Kamel and Vice Chairman Mohieddin Kamel from the Deputy Heads of the Region. They expressed pride in this honor, which embodies the Foundation’s position in the field of social work and confirms the effectiveness of its development programs and initiatives to empower people and improve their quality of life. They explained that the Makkah Excellence Award is one of the most prominent national awards that recognizes initiatives that contribute to building a competitive system based on quality, innovation and social responsibility, with the follow-up and support of regional heads. It has a tangible impact on society.

They explained that the award comes as an extension of the legacy of its founder Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel, who established the concept of organized humanitarian work based on impact and sustainability, noting that the award is an incentive to continue developing programs, strengthening partnerships and contributing to achieving sustainable development in the Holy Mecca region.

It is worth noting that the Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation is a non-profit organization that takes the lead in supporting solutions that contribute to building a productive and interdependent society. Since its launch, its impact has reached more than 1.7 million beneficiaries through a series of strategic objectives, the most prominent of which are supporting social solidarity by 60.5% and serving God’s guests by 39.5%, in line with the goals of Kingdom Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

It is noteworthy that the Mecca Excellence Award has received the patronage and attention of the Sheikh of Mecca Al Mukarramah. Since its inception, the Chief has established a vision based on promoting a culture of mastery, integrating concepts of quality and institutional excellence, and inspiring qualitative initiatives that deliver sustainable impact. Since its creation in 2008, the award has witnessed a continuous development of its criteria and mechanisms, in addition to an expansion of the award’s scope to include administrative, social, economic, cultural, urban and environmental excellence. In line with Vision 2030, it offers outstanding services for Hajj and Umrah, as well as scientific, technical and humanitarian, reflecting its role in supporting the region’s overarching development goals.
