Saudi insurance technology company DESAISIV launches AI Insurance Agent, an AI-powered platform for managing and optimizing commercial insurance, while initiating an $8 million growth funding round to expand its business. Founded in 2023 by Mohammad Nabhan and Saed Khawaldeh, the platform uses AI to benchmark insurance prices, optimize insurance policies, negotiate premiums, and reduce costs for businesses. DESAISIV currently serves over 600 commercial customers, works with 18 insurance companies and brokers, and manages an insurance portfolio of over R2 billion. The new funding will support the company’s growth into AI development, product expansion, strategic partnerships, and new insurance verticals and enterprise risk solutions.

press release:

Saudi Arabian insurtech startup DESAISIV has announced AI Insurance Agent, a next-generation artificial intelligence platform designed to redefine how medium and large businesses buy, manage, negotiate and optimize commercial insurance. With this launch, the company has launched an $8 million growth funding round to accelerate product expansion and position itself as the AI infrastructure supporting commercial insurance.

Commercial insurance is one of the largest operating expenses for businesses, yet much of the industry still relies on fragmented systems, manual workflows, spreadsheets, and slow decision-making. DESAISIV aims to transform this sector by introducing an AI insurance agency that automates complex insurance processes.

It provides real-time strategic insights to help organizations make faster, smarter, and more transparent decisions.

Powered by agent artificial intelligence, the platform combines advanced analytics, automation, and insurance expertise to benchmark market prices, assess policy performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate competitive premiums, and optimize insurance programs across the lifecycle.

Founded in 2023 by entrepreneurs Mohammad Naban and Saeed Kawarde, DESAISIV has quickly emerged as one of the fastest growing enterprise insurtech companies in the region. The company currently serves over 600 corporate customers, works with 18 leading insurance brokers and insurers, and manages over R2 billion in corporate insurance wallets.

Building on this momentum, DESAISIV is expanding beyond commercial health insurance into motor insurance, leasing, general insurance and other AI-powered enterprise risk and financial solutions, with a target of more than R10 billion in premiums processed through its platform.

The company is raising $8 million to accelerate AI research and development, expand its enterprise product portfolio, strengthen strategic partnerships, and scale commercial growth as demand for intelligent insurance infrastructure continues to grow.

“Insurance is one of the largest industries in the world, but it remains one of the least intelligent from a technology perspective,” said Saed Khawaldeh, co-founder of DESAISIV. “We believe AI will fundamentally change the way organizations buy, manage and optimize insurance. Our AI Insurance Agent transforms complex insurance data into actionable intelligence, enabling businesses to reduce costs, improve decision-making and unlock efficiencies not previously possible.”

Mohammad Nabhan, co-founder of DESAISIV, added: “Our ambitions go far beyond digitizing insurance workflows. We are building an AI operating system for commercial insurance that connects all stakeholders and automates complex decision-making. “This round of funding will help accelerate that vision and bring AI-powered enterprise solutions to new areas.”

With proven commercial traction, a rapidly growing customer base, deep industry partnerships, and a bold product vision, DESAISIV positions itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and insurance, building an intelligent infrastructure that can define the next generation of enterprise insurance management.
