Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Tuesday hosted Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Walid El-Keresi in Kigali for talks on regional and international development.
Mr. Elkereij conveyed his wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the Rwandan government and people, along with greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Mr. Kagame prayed for the further development and prosperity of the kingdom, its leaders, and its people.
The meeting reviewed bilateral cooperation and considered ways to strengthen and expand it across various sectors.
Mr Elkeleisi had arrived in Rwanda on an official visit early Tuesday.

He met with Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Usta Kayitesi. They discussed ways to promote cooperation between the two countries in various areas and addressed issues of common interest.
Later, Elkereij visited King Faisal Hospital in Kigali to check on the progress of work at the facility.
King Faisal Hospital is Rwanda’s largest referral hospital and has received over R109 million in support from the Saudi Development Fund since its establishment through reconstruction and expansion.
We provide a wide range of specialized medical services, including disease diagnosis and specialized treatment. He has performed over 300 complex cardiac catheterizations and over 32 kidney transplant surgeries. This is the first attempt in Rwanda.
