Humanitarian aid units of the Yemeni Emergency Forces Division 1, with support from the Joint Forces Command, have begun distributing food baskets (7,000) in the Wadi Al Ain and Hura districts of Hadramaut Governorate, as part of the Humanitarian Plan 2026, which aims to alleviate the livelihood burden of the neediest families and people with limited incomes.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sheikh Salem Abadeen Bawajir, Director General of Wadi Al Ain and Hula Directorate, as well as numerous local leaders, social figures and district leaders. The Director-General confirmed that the distribution process will include different regions of the Directorate, from Wadi Al Ain to Huraa, in accordance with an organized mechanism that ensures fair distribution and the arrival of aid to deserving people without exception.
He explained that these humanitarian interventions are urgently needed to strengthen the resilience of the beneficiary families, as the convoy is under difficult economic and living conditions, and praised the support of the Joint Forces Command and the role of the First Emergency Sector in implementing relief programs that contribute to meeting the basic needs of the population.
The Humanitarian Cell confirmed that the food baskets contain basic materials to meet the needs of beneficiary families and that the distribution process will be carried out in stages according to a field plan that takes into account humanitarian priorities and approved targeting criteria.
Local authorities expressed their readiness to provide distribution teams with the necessary equipment and ensure that the process is carried out transparently and responsibly, in a manner that strengthens trust between local communities and implementing agencies and embodies the values of social solidarity within the Department.
