DUBAI – Dubai Industrial City has strengthened its position as a leading destination for manufacturing and construction materials by attracting the first Dubai-based ALAS Emirates Ready Mix factory.

ALAS Emirates Ready Mix has signed an agreement with Dubai Industrial City, part of TECOM Group PJSC, to develop a new facility in the region’s major manufacturing and logistics hub.

Spanning over 160,000 square feet, the project marks a significant milestone in ALAS’ regional growth strategy and demonstrates ALAS’ commitment to supporting the UAE’s dynamic construction sector. The development of this facility in Dubai Industrial City will expand ALAS Emirates Ready Mix’s operational presence and enable the company to better serve construction projects across the UAE.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Saud Abu AlShaweab, Executive Vice President, Industry, TECOM Group PJSC, on behalf of Dubai Industrial City. Saif Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Bin Fadel Holding; Petr Celis, CEO of ALAS Construction Materials Division and senior representatives of leading companies in the construction industry.

The new facility will feature state-of-the-art management and operations facilities, as well as a state-of-the-art batching plant designed to reduce power consumption. Construction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026, with operations expected to begin in the same quarter. The facility is expected to achieve a ready-mix concrete production capacity of up to 400 cubic meters per hour.

“Strengthening the building materials sector is essential to supporting the UAE’s industrial and construction ambitions, and we look forward to seeing ALAS Emirates Ready Mix expand its operations in Dubai Industrial City,” said AlShawareb. “In conjunction with Operation 300 Billion, Make it in the Emirates and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’, this facility will not only strengthen the UAE’s high quality ready-mix concrete production capacity, but also promote sustainable construction practices across the region.”

Mr Celis said: “The groundbreaking of our Dubai branch marks a decisive milestone in ALAS Emirates Ready Mix’s expansion in the UAE and underlines our commitment to shaping the future of construction in the region.”
