Elite Agro Holding, through its Moroccan subsidiary Elite Harvest Maroc, has opened its seventh farm in the Kingdom of Morocco, marking a major milestone in the Group’s international expansion and long-term investment in one of its most important agricultural markets.

The event was attended by Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi from the Arab Agricultural Investment and Development Authority, along with local officials, partners, stakeholders and members of the local community.

Kenitra’s new 200-hectare farm specializes in the production of premium blueberries and raspberries, using advanced irrigation systems and the latest agricultural technology to support efficient, high-quality and sustainable farming.

Hassan Haraoui, Group CEO of Elite Agro Holding, said: “The opening of our seventh farm in Morocco marks an important step in Elite Agro Holding’s strategy to become the Arab world’s leading berry producer and a key player in the global market. Morocco is not only an important market for us, but also our largest berry production platform, and we continue to expand our business through a strong pipeline of projects.”

He added: “The berry sector is one of the fastest growing fresh produce categories globally. Elite Agro is strategically positioned to become a global player and trusted brand in this sector, building on the success established in the UAE and expanding across international markets.”

This launch reflects Elite Agro Holding’s continued confidence in Morocco as a key agricultural growth market and the Group’s strategic production platform. It also strengthens the Group’s commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture, rural development, job creation and the competitiveness of Moroccan agricultural exports on international markets.

Elite Agro Holding’s direct investments in Morocco currently exceed AED 500 million, making the group one of the key foreign direct investors in agriculture. These investments contributed to the creation of over 8,000 jobs and reinforced the Group’s belief that sustainable agricultural development must create long-term economic and social value for local communities.

The Group, through Elite Harvest Morocco, operates several strategic production sites across key agricultural regions such as Kenitra, Sidi Yahya, Fes, Beni Meral, Sefru, Marrakech and Benslimane. These locations grow a variety of high-quality crops, including blueberries, raspberries, pomegranates, pears, apples, peaches, nectarines, grapes, cherries, citrus, persimmons, and plums, which are supplied to domestic and international markets.

Elite Harvest Maroc’s operations are supported by internationally recognized certifications such as GLOBALG.AP, GRASP, Tesco Nurture, SPRING, Field to Fork and SMETA. These certifications reflect the company’s commitment to quality, food safety, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and responsible agricultural practices.
