‘Environmental Security Agency’ arrests violators of Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve – Saudi News

Environmental security special forces arrested citizens who violated environmental regulations. Legal action has been taken against him for setting fires in undesignated areas within the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve and for failing to follow instructions and guidelines to protect vegetation.

The military confirmed that the penalty for setting fire outside of designated areas in forests and national parks is a fine of up to (3,000) riyals. People are asked to report any incidents indicating attacks on the environment or wildlife on the number (911) in the areas of Mecca Al Mukarrama, Medina, Riyadh and Sharqiyya, and on the numbers (999) and (996) in other parts of Saudi Arabia. All reports are treated as completely confidential and there is no liability on the part of the informant.

Special forces for environmental safety arrested a citizen who violated environmental regulations by starting a fire in an undesignated area within the Royal Imam Faisal bin Turki Reserve and failing to comply with instructions and guidelines for vegetation protection, and legal proceedings were initiated against him.

The military confirmed that the fine for fires in undesignated areas in forests and national parks is a maximum fine of (3,000) riyals, and called on the public to report any incidents indicating violence against the environment or wildlife to number (911) in Mecca, Madinah, Riyadh and Eastern Province regions, and numbers (999) and (996) in other parts of Saudi Arabia. All reports will be treated as completely confidential and there will be no liability to the reporter.
