DUBAI – Loud explosions were heard Sunday in Dubai and Qatar’s capital Doha for the second day in a row, with Oman also being hit for the first time as retaliatory strikes by the United States and Israel for the Iranian attack spread across the Gulf.

Iran has previously said it would target US military bases in the region, but various other locations in the Gulf city have also been attacked.

In Dubai, debris from the intercepted drone fell on two houses, injuring two people, the Dubai Media Office said.

Dubai International Airport, the landmark Burj Al Arab hotel and the man-made Palm Jumeirah island were all damaged, authorities said.
