Italian police have asked the referee for the match between Inter and Juventus not to leave his home due to death threats on social media, local media reported. The “Italian Summit”, which ended on Saturday with leaders Inter defeating hosts Juventus 3-2, was highly tense after referee Federico La Pena sent off “old lady” French defender Pierre Carolo with a second yellow card in the 42nd minute for a “fake” foul on Alessandro Bastoni, angering Juventus management and fans.

In the first Maltese Turkish Amateur League match between Darenspor and Germanaspor Hekimhan teams, after a goal favored by the hosts was canceled for offside, assistant referee Hakan Baskurt was briefly knocked unconscious and suffered a deep cut above his eyebrow when a fan threw a scooter at the referee before the end of the match. Turkish police security forces arrested the suspect at the scene of the incident, and he was questioned and released. The investigation continues, but the Turkish Football Federation and security authorities are expected to include a wide-ranging investigation into why security measures were weak and how the scooters reached the stands.

According to local media reports, Italian police have asked the referee for the match between Inter and Juventus to stay home due to death threats made on social media. The “Italian Summit”, which ended with league leaders Inter defeating guests Juventus 3-2 in Saturday’s 25th round, was tense after referee Federico La Penna issued a second yellow card to Juventus defender Pierre Carles for a “phantom” foul on Alessandro Bastoni in the 42nd minute, angering Juventus management and fans.

Before the end of the match between Dardanelspor and Hekimhan Belediyespor in the Turkish Malta First Amateur League, assistant referee Hakan Baskurt was pelted with a scooter by a fan before the end of the match after the home team’s goal was disallowed for offside, causing him to briefly lose consciousness and sustain a deep cut above his eyebrow. Turkish security forces arrested the suspect at the scene of the incident, questioned him, and released him pending further investigation. The Turkish Football Federation and security authorities are expected to conduct a wide-ranging investigation into why security measures were weak and how the scooters got into the stands.
