Father of ‘Okazu’ Hamza Abdul Karim: son returns to Barcelona… awaiting first appearance – Saudi News

Mohamed Abdel Karim, the father of young Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim, has confirmed that his son has returned to Spain to train with Barcelona’s reserve team.

Hamza Abdel Karim joined Barcelona on loan from Egyptian club Al Ahly during last winter’s transfer window, but did not join the team due to some administrative procedures that prevented him from obtaining a work permit.

The player returned to Egypt last month and completed the process of obtaining a work permit and official documents to officially join the team.

Hamza completes his mission and returns to Barcelona

The Egyptian striker’s father said in an exclusive statement to Okaz: “Hamza returned to Spain yesterday, Thursday, with all his documents in order. God willing, he will join Barcelona soon.”

First Egyptian in Barcelona’s history

Hamza Abdel Karim is considered the first Egyptian player in Barcelona’s history, having caught the eye of the Catalan club’s scouts when he played for Egypt’s U-17 national team at the Junior World Cup in Qatar last November.
