Authorities in Louisiana have arrested a FedEx delivery driver in connection with the theft of $62,000 worth of packages that were never delivered to the company’s customers, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
According to the investigation, the incident began on February 11th when investigators reported a package missing, and after a two-day investigation, the suspect driver, Tyrann Jackson, 27, was identified.
A search of the home revealed that Jackson had hidden the stolen packages in a storage unit inside an apartment complex on Perkins Road. When authorities searched the room, they discovered a pile of stolen items, which were completely recovered.
Jackson was arrested and taken to jail, and an investigation continues to determine if any other stolen property was found.
